Frederic, a young man celebrating the end of his apprenticeship to a band of tender-hearted pirates, discovers a technicality tied to his leap-year birthdate that binds him to them for decades, leading to a series of mistaken identities, comedic misunderstandings, and a heartfelt resolution involving love, duty, and the pirates’ surprising nobility.

Amahl and the Night Visitors

Amahl, a disabled boy living in poverty with his mother near Bethlehem, is visited by the Three Kings who bring gifts to the newborn Christ. When his mother attempts to steal some gold, she is forgiven, and Amahl offers his crutch as a gift, miraculously healing him so he can join the kings to Bethlehem.
